Blog post #1

What about EDM 310?

I am going to be honest, once I received the first email I was quite overwhelmed by all of the instructions and the requirements for this course. I immediately got on Facebook and asked my fellow education majors any suggestions or comments pertaining to EDM 310. I had many people leave comments about this course. Majority of the people told me it was a "TON" of work and to make sure that I did "NOT" get behind because it would be pretty much impossible to catch back up. Also, many people told me that this course was probably one of the toughest courses so far. Coming into this class I am pretty intimidated. I am really not too scared of this course, but I do worry about falling behind because I do tend to put off assignments until the last minute.

EDM 310 so far differs from my other classes, mainly because I have never been required to bring any type of computer for my other courses. The workload for this course is quite large compared to most of my other courses as well. I believe my biggest challenge for this class will be to stay on top of my assignments. Also, I am new to the blogging world so that will be another challenge I will face. The best way for me to deal with my "challenges" for this class is to manage my time wisely and spend the required amount of time working on my assignments for this course. The main question I have about this course is about the purchasing of the Foliotek license. I still also have a few questions about blogging, particularly about how to insert images and links.

  1. Very good post! The people you heard from are right; it is a ton of work, but manageable if you manage your time well. It is very important to not get behind, in fact, stay ahead! If we can be of any help, let us know! Good luck this semester!

  2. Your post sums up my feelings about this class well. I too have heard that this class is a ton of work and one of the toughest courses. On the up side, you have a whole class of people who want to help you. I suggest to write down all the projects ahead of time in a planner so you can see what is coming up and get started on it. Time management is going to be your way to an A in the class! If you ever need help with the links or images shoot me an email and I'd be happy to help.
